WE LOVE YOUR KIDS! THEY ARE WELCOME HERE! (really)

Imagine Moses standing upon a rock reading and explaning the Holy Law of God. Imagine the covenant community standing in reverence and fear….

Now imagine the kids… Little Ezer kicking the sand with his sandals. Little Eliab throwing pebbles at his sister Bela. Mom and Dad whispering “shhhhh!”

God never changes… neither do kids! We understand that “kids are kids” and we welcome them to be a part of the ChristCommunity family.

We are intentionally seeking to be a church that kids love! Children are welcome to be an active part of everything we do.

With today’s busy family schedules, traditional children’s programming is becoming less and less effective. Plus, traditional children’s programming overlooks many important areas of the Christian life and tends to produce unbalanced results in the life of a child. ChristCommunity Church has carefully reinvented children’s programming and ministers to the children with 3 tracks of activities.

Track 1 - A child-friendly worship service. Each week the worship team will intentionally design our worship service to engage our children Carefully arranged songs, bulletins, children sermons, and other elements will help our children become worshippers of the Lord. Parents and other adults are encouraged to actively help children participate as fully as possible and to model joyful worship. A CD of our most popular worship songs is available so kids can learn these songs and sing along with us. We encourage “parenting in the pew.” We will glorify God as we enjoy Him in thier presence.

Children of all ages are welcome in to participate in our Worship Service. However, if the parents prefer a Children’s Church activity is offered for our two to four year olds during the message portion of the worship service. After the children’s message, the children will be led to a special time of bible study, singing , prayer and crafts. They will return to the worship service after the sermon.

A well-trained nursery is available for children up to two years old.

Electronic pagers will be given to a parent so you can be reached if needed.

Track 2 - Weekly or Biweekly 1A groups. A trained leader will meet with a small group of children in homes, parks or wherever they choose for mentoring, discipleship and real one-anothering. Our children will learn first hand how to develop and enjoy deep relationships and live out the Christian life in community.

Track 3 - Events. The ChristCommunity calendar will regularly have events planned for our children and their families. Children, parents and children’s leaders will gather for a fun social events like – fishing trips, a kids rodeo and service projects.
